Dhikala Zone is a popular wildlife tourism destination located within the Corbett National Park in India. The Corbett National Park is situated in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand state in northern India.
The Dhikala Zone is known for its rich flora and fauna and is a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. It is home to a wide range of animals, including tigers, leopards, elephants, deer, and many species of birds. Visitors can explore the zone through jeep and elephant safaris, and also engage in other outdoor activities like birdwatching, and Canter Safari.
The Dhikala Zone is one of the six ecotourism zones in the Corbett Tiger Reserve and is considered to be the most sought-after zone for wildlife sightings. However, visitors need to obtain permits to enter the zone, and it is only accessible during the peak tourist season (from November to June).
Canter Safari in Dhikala Zone (From 15 Nov. to 15 June) Only by Project Tiger's conducted Canter Safari, which can be managed if prior information available with ID proof. A canter can only accommodate a maximum number of 16 passengers in one trip. One can board the canter either at Ramnagar or Dhangari gate.
There are two safaris that can be taken in a day :- Morning- from 6:00 am. to 11:00 am. & Evening- from 11:00 am. to 5:00 pm.
